Free Entertainment for Kids: We will be hosting free

bounce houses, a magician and balloons for kids of all ages.

Food Vendors: We are looking for vendors to provide food

and drinks to the spectators and participants. Since the name of

Ephraim Bee’s tavern was the Bee Hive, we would love

to see food vendors provide some unique foods and treats made with honey. However, this is not a requirement to be a vendor.

Product Vendors: If you have a product that fits the look and feel of our event, come sell your wares at our one-of-a-kind festival. Artisans and crafters alike are welcome, especially vendors who make honey-based products, such as soaps and lotions.

Queen Bee, Teen Bee and Youth Pageants: The Ephraim Bee Festival is a member of the WV Association of Fairs & Festivals. We will be sending this year's Queen Bee to Charleston in January for the 2024 WV Fairs & Festivals Pageant. We will also be having Youth Pageants for ages 5-8 and 9-12. If you're interested in entering the Ephraim Bee Festival Queen & Teen Bee Pageants or Youth Pageants, please go to the PAGEANTS tab to download an application.

Honey Tasting Contest: Calling all Beekeepers! We are looking for local and regional honey-makers to  bring us your best honey for our second annual honey-tasting contest. Prizes to be announced soon.

Ugly Man Contest: Ephraim Bee was once voted the ugliest man in West Virginia. If you think you deserve such a title, step on stage and let us be the judge.  The winner will be presented with a custom-made 'Ugliest Man' pocket knife provided by the Doddridge County Historical Society. Contest starts at 2:00 pm.

We will be adding events to the schedule in the next few weeks, so please be sure to check back with us periodically. We can't wait to see you at the festival!

On September 9, 2023 at the Doddridge County Park the Doddridge County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a festival in honor of one of Doddridge County’s most notable characters, Ephraim Bee. If your business or organization is interested in participating, here are a few ways in which you can be a part of the 5th Annual Ephraim Bee Festival!
